Millet designed its nimble, lightweight Men’s Trident GTX Approach Shoe to keep your foot comfortable on the trail so you’re ready for the alpine ascent right when you get to the base of the mountain. This waterproof version of Millet’s Trident Guide shoe features a Gore-Tex membrane that will keep your foot dry on wet, muddy trails. The 3D Aeromesh upper lets the shoe breathe so your foot isn’t pooled in sweat halfway through the hike. Climbing-style extended lacing lets you dial in a precise fit so you’re not slopping around in the shoe on uneven terrain. The Trident’s Heel Frame Trident heel stabilizes your foot and absorbs shock, and the heel counter provides support as you billy-goat up uneven trails. Impacts are further softened by the EVA midsole, and the dual-material insole that also features a Hygiene antibacterial treatment to keep the shoe fresh. Your foot is well-protected by the rubber-reinforced toe and side rands; the carbon synthetic reinforcements on the upper add abrasion-resistance. The high-traction Vibram outsole has Climbing Zone grippers to keep you on your feet when the trail takes a steep and rocky turn. This shoe has an anatomic shape for comfort. And an unrestrained flex means you can move up the trails fast in this sensitive shoe.
